Sustainable Water and Development for all Urban Wastewater | Research

Currently, a research team of BI is working on a research topic and holds regular meetings with 6 lecturers from Afghan universities to advance this research.

In addition, the Institute of Western has organized a research methodology course in collaboration with an institute under the name of SWEM (Sustainable Water and Development for all Urban Wastewater) on November 23rd and 28th, 2023, for 50 engineers (both male and female) specializing in civil engineering and water
resources and environmental management.
This training course consisted of two sessions on November 23rd and 28th, 2023. The instructor for this training course was Mohammad Osman Adel lecturer from Economics Faculty of Herat University, who is currently in Germany.
 
The course content was as follows:
Research methodology is one of the fundamental, interdisciplinary, and widely used subjects in the field of social sciences. In this subject, topics such as research proposal methods, literary analysis or research background, various research methods, society and sample statistics, and data analysis are usually discussed and examined. In this intensive course, the following topics are covered:

1)    Understanding the type of research, stating the research problem, and explaining the importance of the research topic.
2)    Objectives, hypotheses, and research variables.
3)    The necessity, objectives, and process of preparing the research background.
4)    Research methodology and its structure.
5)    Population, sampling methods, and data collection tools.
6)    Sample size determination method and research questionnaire sequencing method.
